for immediate release

VANCOUVER – APRIL 30 2024 – Beau Nectar, composed of francophone BC artist Marie-Clo and the francophone SK artist éemi, is set to release a brand new single “Même vase qu’hier” on May 10th. The single is featured on the deluxe format of their album Two Lips, also set to be released on the same day via Indica Records (Mtl).

Beau Nectar is a cross country collaboration between two bilingual singer-songwriters who also have successful solo careers. Together, they deliver intimate and vibrant electro-pop with poetic and science-inspired lyrics that draw parallels between nature and human experiences.

Though Two Lips was predominantly produced by Jace Lasek (Patrick Watson, Arcade fire, etc.) of Breakglass Studios in Montreal, this new single “Même vase qu’hier” was produced by Fransaskois artist Mario Lepage (Ponteix) in the early days of the project. In 2021, in a small studio just outside Saskatoon (SK) overlooking the prairies, Beau Nectar wasn’t even named yet and this song was being recorded. Since the release of their first album, Beau Nectar has won 4 Trille Or awards, been nominated for 4 Capital Music Awards, went on two cross-Canada tours, played Europe and opened for renowned artists such as Daniel Bélanger, Pierre Kwenders, Fanny Bloom, etc.

The duo wanted to share this surprise unreleased single to both reflect on the early days where two strangers took a chance on making music together, but also to celebrate a track completely written/produced by francophones from outside Québec.
