New english release “Loggerhead Shrike” by bilingual duo Beau Nectar

MAY 20 2025– Beau Nectar, composed of francophone artists Marie-Clo and éemi, is set to release a brand new english single “Loggerhead Shrike” on Friday May 23rd. This single will also feature on their upcoming english LP Dandy, coming out winter 2026 via Indica Records (Mtl). The duo delivers vibrant indie/pop/folk inspired by fauna and flora.

The single “Loggerhead Shrike” is a haunting ode about obsession, inspired by the loggerhead shrike—a songbird with a killer instinct. With the phrase “love me love me” echoing over chilling instrumentation, this track blurs the line between danger and desire, much like the bird it emulates.

After the release of their first album “Two Lips”, Beau Nectar played three cross country tours, opened for world renowned artists such as Daniel Bélanger/Pierre Kwenders/Fanny Bloom, premiered at #4 (Sirius XM) & showcased in Europe. They won a Saskatchewan Music Award for Pop Artist of the year (2024), won 4 Trille Or awards (2023), were nominated for 4 Capital Music Awards (2024), 2 Western Canadian Music Awards (2024), and 1 GAMIQ award (2024). They were selected to participate at the prestigious Banff Artists in Residence program (2023), were featured on CBC Music’s Searchlight Top 100 and were recently nominated for 10 Trille Or awards (2025), amongst many other accomplishments.
